LEVI'S HISTORY:
•American clothing company privately owned and founded in 1853. •They had 50 salespeople and two plants for production in 1946. •In 1980 they had grew to a salesforce of 22,000 with 50 plants and offices in 35 countries. •In 1991 they labelled some jeans ‘Made in the USA’ which were made overseas with worker facing poor conditions. •Levi’s production is global and they have recently planned to move their Customer Service over to India.
